We built CiMBA, a tiny compute-in-memory accelerator plus an analog-friendly DNN family called AnaLog-Dorado, to run real-time on-device basecalling and crush the data deluge from portable sequencers. The co-design slashes comms and storage needs while delivering massive throughput and power/area wins over prior embedded accelerators, all without sacrificing state-of-the-art accuracy.
