GenDRAM:Hardware-Software Co-Design of General Platform in DRAM

We built GenDRAM, a monolithic 3D-DRAM PIM platform that co-designs hardware and software to shove entire data-heavy pipelines—think seeding through alignment—into memory, using specialized Search units and multiplier-less universal Compute PUs plus 3D-aware data mapping to exploit tiered latency. The result is a single-chip, end-to-end accelerator that eliminates host-accelerator streaming and delivers massive speedups over GPUs on DP workloads like APSP and genomics.
