We built a TaOx device that can toggle between bipolar memristive and CRS modes so you can non-destructively read or CRS-program to kill sneak paths, letting crossbar arrays use mode-optimized signaling. Simulating backprop on the array shows those mode switches tame leakage and complex read/write schemes, enabling fully parallel image recognition with practical accuracy—good news for scalable neuromorphic hardware.
